Sai Sirisha|April 2016

Here we bring before you another story from one of our volunteer teacher who visited her kids at Mallela, Andhra Pradesh and got energized for the new Academic Year.

The story as said by Sai Sirisha goes like this.

I am Sai Sirisha, I teach Maths for 8th grade in Mallela. I am from Kadapa, AP. We had a family wedding in Narsapur where we had to cross Vijayawada. I was waiting to meet my kids for long, I just grabbed this chance. We reached Tiruvuru on 31st march night itself, and 1st April morning we visited Mallela School. Nageswara rao who is local coordinator helped us in routing and was with us throughout our trip.

Around 10am, I reached school and I was so excited to meet the kids. As soon as I reached the school I was fully surrounded by kids. They gave me a warm welcome. HM, Durga Prasad sir was so kind, he spent his precious time with us and school staff also was so nice that they came and spoke to me.

When I saw the kids, I felt like TV characters had come alive. It was a dream come true experience for me. Kids were so happy seeing me , of course for them also it would be the same feeling. We had some random talks. They gifted me Lord Ganesha statue. Next day was annual day so kids showed me their performances in advance. They took me around the school and showed their classrooms, friends.

I was accompanied by Mother, Uncle and Aunt. School welcomed even them.

They asked two questions

· How is eVidyaloka classes impacting the students

Students are more interested in eVidyaloka classes. They never miss these classes and students started coming regular after we start these classes

· Is there any improvement in students after eVidyaloka classes are started

Yes, a lot. Students are getting revised twice. eVidyaloka teachers shows videos and pictures and some easy method in teaching.so they are able to learn and remember properly.

My sister Nikitha Madan( Andhra Pradesh coordinator for eVidyaloka) who is also a teacher in the same center, couldn’t accompany me in this visit, so her students were coming to me and asking to pass their regards to her.

School HM and Staffs were so happy with eVidyaloka. They couldn’t stop praising eVidyaloka. They were full of praises for the commitment that we give, the quality education, the method of teaching and above all the punctuality of teachers in taking class..

The most memorable part of this trip was when kids treated me as a big celebrity. I was speechless when they made me sit in a classroom and the kids flocked around me to get my autographs . I was just blushing as this was my first experience in giving autograph 🙂

I gifted them pouch and pens. School arranged lunch for us.

A simple thanks will not be enough to show my gratitude to eVidyaloka for giving me such a sweet and lovely experience, but at this moment that is all what I have to give taking along with memories of a wonderful day spent with the kids.

I really enjoy teaching kids. eVidyaloka is a platform where all passionate teachers are brought together and putting their abilities and passion to teach in the right direction, which gives us ample satisfaction in teaching to those lovely kids in rural areas. This was an awesome trip that I would always cherish.
