Roshni: Together we light up ‘Young Lives’in Rural India

The National Partner Summit hosted by eVidyaloka Trust is an annual event dedicated to our program partners. It was first constituted in 2015 and has been held every year since. eVidyaloka’s partner NGOs and their representatives from across the country gather for a day-long event that includes knowledge-sharing sessions, talks by eminent personalities, and the award ceremony for partner achievements under various categories. The event is also significant as it witnesses the annual planning exercise and the exchange of best practices between eVidyaloka and the partners. The NPS was held virtually in 2020, 2021, and 2022 due to COVID-19 restrictions. In 2021, the event was named ROSHNI in honour and loving memory of Ms Roshni, an indomitable eVidyaloka Class Assistant in Jharkhand whom we lost to the pandemic.

Partner NGOs are a vital pillar of the eVidyaloka model. They figure in our mission statement to achieve our vision of empowering children of rural India through quality education. Our partners anchor our impact at the grassroots level and are the face of eVidyaloka in the community. It is also through this partner ecosystem that eVidyaloka can reach many last-mile learners who otherwise do not have access to online learning opportunities. ROSHNI serves as a platform for all such like-minded organisations to share their experience, expertise, and effective practices to run the eVidyaloka Digital Education programs effectively. It is also a time to showcase the pioneering work of eVidyaloka Trust and its partner ecosystem in driving a volunteer-driven digital education in rural India culminating in meaningful impact and empowerment of thousands of school-going children. The program is a stellar example of unity in diversity, and our belief that every stakeholder of eVidyaloka is truly an accelerator of the nation’s development.
